What is FaithKeepers School?
The Ganöhsesge:kha:’ Hë:nödeyë:stha’ (FaithKeepers School) is a non-profit, grassroots effort that provides a traditional education following the language, customs, and ceremonies of the Iroquoian Longhouse and culture of the Allegany Seneca People.
What is our Vision?
The vision of the Ganöhsesge:kha:’ Hë:nödeyë:stha’ is to reestablish the Allegany Seneca in our place, 'Ohi:yo', as part of 'etinöëh yöëdzade' (mother earth). Ganöhsesge:kha:’ Hë:nödeyë:stha’ envisions a self
sustaining cultural institute and community that nurtures people throughout our lives and remembers the wisdom of our ancestors.
What is our Mission
Our Mission is to re-establish our identy as traditional Allegany Senecas by preserving our language, culture, and customs as specified in our spiritual guide-the Gaiwi:yo:h. Gaiwi:yo:h is a spiritual guide based
on principles for healthy living that incorporates strength, love, compassion, and the ability to think with a "good mind". It operates on the concept of conduct and consequences.
